Document the active work
List each target, service ID, purchased quantity, order reference and current status. Include the business purpose of the purchase so the incoming manager understands which metric matters. Keep completed items separate from requests still awaiting delivery or support review.
Include open decisions
Record unresolved questions such as an unsupported target, an interruption or a pending refill assessment. Attach the relevant correspondence rather than paraphrasing it as an approved outcome. A support request in progress should not be represented as a confirmed adjustment.
Protect access boundaries
Transfer records through the organization's approved workflow and share only the access needed for the role. An order handoff does not require giving a supplier the Facebook account password. Make clear who is authorized to place additional purchases or approve changes after the handoff.
Decision checklist
| Decision | What to check |
|---|---|
| Active orders | Target and current status |
| Open issues | Evidence and unresolved question |
| Authority | Who may approve more spend |
Worked example
A hypothetical agency manager leaves while two Reel orders are processing and one refill request is under review. A clear handoff labels all three separately. The incoming manager can then follow the existing cases instead of repeating purchases or promising an unapproved refill.
Example figures explain the decision; they are not current prices or promised results.
