Compare the right fields
Matching target URLs are only the beginning. Check service identifier, action, quantity, submission time, and campaign reference. Two different actions on the same post are not duplicates, and a planned later installment may have legitimate separate scope.
Confirm intent before acting
Review the approved purchase list or ask the order owner whether both requests were intended. Do not cancel an order solely because an automated report flags it. The service may already be processing, and cancellation eligibility depends on its terms.
Record the resolution
Keep both identifiers in the investigation record. Note which purchase was approved, which was accidental, and what outcome support confirmed. Reconcile any credits separately so the financial ledger does not erase the history of the mistake.
Decision checklist
| Decision | What to check |
|---|---|
| Match | Target plus service and quantity |
| Intent | Approved repeat or accident |
| Resolution | Separate order outcomes |
Worked example
A hypothetical batch has two 500-like orders on one link submitted a minute apart and a 1,000-view order on that same link. The likes pair needs investigation; the view order is a different action and should not be flagged solely by URL.
Example figures explain the decision; they are not current prices or promised results.
