Read the action definition
A listing that specifies plays may not specify listening duration. For a long mix, ask whether any duration claim is actually included and how it is described. Do not infer full-length listening from the word play or from the mix’s total length.
Normalize any stated duration
If two offers include duration descriptions, identify whether they concern a minimum, average or another measure. Convert comparable units before reviewing price. A percentage of a long mix can imply a different time commitment from the same percentage of a short track.
Keep outcomes separate
A duration calculation is not evidence of audience interest, future listening or a business result. Use the stated terms and available observations to evaluate the defined scope. If the offer is ambiguous, request clarification instead of filling the gap with a favourable assumption.
Decision checklist
| Decision | What to check |
|---|---|
| Definition | What a play or duration claim means |
| Units | Minutes, percentage or other stated basis |
| Evidence | What supports the defined scope |
Worked example
For an illustrative sixty-minute mix, a claim involving ten minutes differs from full-length listening. A separate offer using a percentage needs that percentage converted against the actual mix length before comparison.
Example figures explain the decision; they are not current prices or promised results.
