Document the starting version
Save the target URL and the recording description that applied when the request was placed. If the audio or presentation changes, note the date and nature of the change. Similar titles can hide a substantially different listening experience.
Check whether scope is affected
An edit may or may not affect the selected service’s requirements. Ask about compatibility when the change is material, rather than assuming the existing request remains appropriate. If a new upload address is created, identify it separately from the original target.
Keep comparisons honest
Do not compare observations before and after a major content change as though only the service changed. The campaign may now concern different audio, duration or audience expectations. Retain the original record so the sequence can be understood later.
Decision checklist
| Decision | What to check |
|---|---|
| Version | Recording context at submission |
| Change | What changed and when |
| Interpretation | Whether before-and-after conditions remain comparable |
Worked example
Suppose an illustrative instrumental preview becomes a full vocal version during a request. Record that transition and verify the target; later listener behaviour should not be discussed as if the recording stayed unchanged throughout.
Example figures explain the decision; they are not current prices or promised results.
