Identify the desired context
Determine whether the brief concerns the source item or the account's added commentary. Record the relevant direct references where available. The quoted content can dominate a screenshot, so a visual description alone may lead an operator to select the wrong publication.
Confirm target compatibility
Use the selected service's accepted format and ask about quote-post compatibility if it is not explained. A like-related offer does not automatically include reposts, written commentary or action on the source item. Keep the purchase limited to the actual stated action.
Keep evidence attached to the item
Capture the target and starting metric together, then review the same item after processing. A change on the source post does not establish fulfillment for the commentary post. If both are part of a campaign, allocate and report them as separate line items.
Decision checklist
| Decision | What to check |
|---|---|
| Source | Referenced publication |
| Commentary | New publication context |
| Action | Exactly what the service lists |
Worked example
A hypothetical business quotes a partner's update and adds its own event details. If the approved promotion concerns those details, the relevant target is the business's publication when supported. Ordering against the partner's source item would describe a different scope.
Example figures explain the decision; they are not current prices or promised results.
