Read the quantity definition
Ask whether the offer specifies concurrent listeners, total joins or another documented unit. These measures answer different questions about a session. Without a definition, a headline quantity cannot be converted into a reliable expectation for the number visible at any one moment.
Pair the count with time
Record the included duration and any start conditions alongside the listener figure. A shorter interval with a larger quantity is not necessarily equivalent to a longer interval with fewer listeners. The event's essential segment should guide which scope is relevant.
Keep a useful observation log
Note the session URL, scheduled time and actual event window. If you observe attendance, label snapshots as snapshots rather than cumulative audience totals. Use the service's published measurement and evidence when discussing delivery instead of combining different audience counters.
Decision checklist
| Decision | What to check |
|---|---|
| Quantity | Concurrent listeners or total joins |
| Time | Included session duration |
| Evidence | Comparable observations |
Worked example
In a hypothetical comparison, one offer describes 100 concurrent listeners for 20 minutes and another 100 total joins. The repeated number does not make the offers equivalent. Ask for a clear definition before deciding which addresses the event brief.
Example figures explain the decision; they are not current prices or promised results.
