Identify what changed
Record the original broadcast link and the replacement link, along with the interruption time. Check whether they refer to the same public item or separate sessions. The service description determines what target is accepted; a matching Page name alone does not resolve that question.
Read the active order status
Save the current order ID, remaining time if shown and any supplier message. A new purchase may overlap with an active request or spend twice against the same event. Ask support how the existing package handles restarts and whether a change is possible.
Set a fallback decision
Decide how long the remaining event segment will last before considering another package. Compare that time with the new service's stated start estimate and minimum duration. A replacement order that begins after the main segment would not solve the original timing problem.
Decision checklist
| Decision | What to check |
|---|---|
| Old session | Original URL and interruption time |
| New session | Replacement URL and remaining event |
| Existing order | Adjustment or restart rule |
Worked example
A hypothetical webinar disconnects after ten minutes and resumes under another URL. Send both links and the existing order reference together. If the service cannot retarget, evaluate a new request only against the remaining broadcast window and its actual terms.
Example figures explain the decision; they are not current prices or promised results.
