Define the package unit
Ask whether quantity represents simultaneous viewers, cumulative visits or another stated unit. Then identify when the included duration starts. A package describing total visits is not directly comparable with a concurrent-viewer package simply because both advertise the same number.
Budget the broadcast window
Separate the time needed for setup, the central presentation and any closing questions. Confirm how start delays, an early finish or a disconnected broadcast affect the purchase before placing it. Do not infer extension or cancellation terms from the displayed duration alone.
Create a comparable quote
Put quantity, included minutes, start conditions and total charge in adjacent columns. This makes tradeoffs visible without inventing a universal value score. A longer session may fit the event better even when a shorter option has a larger headline audience.
Decision checklist
| Decision | What to check |
|---|---|
| Audience unit | Concurrent or cumulative |
| Duration | Included minutes and start rule |
| Extra time | Explicit extension conditions |
Worked example
For illustration, compare a quoted 30-minute package with a 75-minute event plan. If the essential presentation runs for 45 minutes, the shorter allowance does not cover that entire segment. Ask for a compatible scope rather than assuming unused setup time transfers.
Example figures explain the decision; they are not current prices or promised results.
