Define the observable action
Identify whether the listing describes a share counter, a specific share action or a placement arrangement with documented destinations. Those descriptions carry different expectations. Do not infer named placements, lasting visibility or referral visits when the offer only specifies an action count.
Assess destination claims
If placement details matter to the campaign, ask what evidence is provided and whether examples are representative. A headline number alone cannot establish the audience or context of those placements. Avoid presenting unverified distribution destinations to a client as confirmed campaign inventory.
Separate commercial outcomes
Track link clicks, leads or purchases in the appropriate analytics separately from share counts. A fulfilled count-based order would not prove those business outcomes occurred. Choose the metric that answers your actual question before deciding that a share service fits the campaign.
Decision checklist
| Decision | What to check |
|---|---|
| Count scope | What action is counted |
| Placement scope | What evidence is included |
| Business result | Measure independently |
Worked example
For illustration, a brief asking for shares into named industry communities is not equivalent to a generic 100-share order. Without confirmed placement terms, the latter should be quoted only under its stated action definition and not as community distribution.
Example figures explain the decision; they are not current prices or promised results.
