Save the purchase identity
Record the company page or post URL used at checkout, the visible name and the order reference. Include the date of the planned rebrand if known. A later screenshot may show only the new identity and fail to explain what the service originally received.
Check changes with the service
Ask whether the selected offer can continue under the changed target conditions. Do not assume a display-name change, address change and replacement company page have the same effect. The relevant question is how the actual submitted reference is handled by that service.
Keep a single transition record
Document the old and new references and any accepted support instruction in one place. This helps the incoming campaign manager distinguish a rebrand from an order placed against the wrong company. Avoid placing a second purchase until the active request's state is clear.
Decision checklist
| Decision | What to check |
|---|---|
| Old identity | Original submitted reference |
| New identity | Current company representation |
| Continuity | Service-specific handling |
Worked example
Imagine a business changes its public name during a company-follower campaign. A clear record links the original target to the current identity and notes the change time. Reordering under the new name without checking the existing request may create avoidable duplicate spending.
Example figures explain the decision; they are not current prices or promised results.
