Build a short chronology
List submission, relevant status changes, support contacts, and any confirmed adjustments in time order. Include references rather than copying a long conversation without structure. Distinguish your own observations from statements made by the service team.
Identify the unresolved decision
State the specific question that remains unanswered, such as whether an order is stopped or whether a credit was issued. Repeating every earlier concern can hide the decision needed now. Link supporting evidence to that question.
Avoid contradictory requests
If you previously asked to cancel and later asked to continue, explain which instruction is current. Do not submit conflicting requests through multiple channels without cross-referencing them. A consistent record reduces the chance of an action based on an outdated message.

Worked example
A hypothetical escalation lists an order on Monday, a stop request on Tuesday, and a Wednesday reply that only confirms receipt. The open question is whether delivery has actually stopped, not whether the message was received.
Example figures explain the decision; they are not current prices or promised results.
