Unpack the package
Write down each action and its included quantity. Identify whether the package has a fixed duration, required target type, or additional component that the unit-priced alternative lacks. A bundle name is not a complete specification of what you receive.
Normalize comparable components
Divide the package cost by quantity only when all units represent the same action. For a mixed package, request itemized pricing or compare the whole defined bundle. Do not present a single per-thousand rate for an unspecified mix of views and likes.
Check purchase flexibility
A unit-priced service may allow a custom quantity while a package is fixed. Compare the cost of satisfying your actual requirement, not only the displayed unit equivalent. Note whether unused package components can be omitted or remain part of the charge.
Decision checklist
| Decision | What to check |
|---|---|
| Included | Defined actions and quantities |
| Equivalent | Comparable unit rate |
| Flexibility | Fixed or custom order |
Worked example
A hypothetical package of 2,500 identical units costs $7.50, equivalent to $3 per thousand. A $2.80 unit rate would cost $7 for 2,500 units, provided its requirements and terms genuinely match.
Example figures explain the decision; they are not current prices or promised results.
