Establish the final scope
Confirm that the original order will not continue delivering. Read any reported quantity and the service's definition of a partial outcome. Save the support response if it clarifies the state, because the same target will be used in the next purchasing decision.
Separate money from quantity
A credit may reflect part of the original charge but does not automatically buy the remaining quantity elsewhere. Calculate the outstanding requirement and obtain a new quote for it. Compare the replacement's input, rate basis, and terms independently.
Keep two order references
Connect the original and replacement records through your campaign identifier while preserving their separate panel identifiers. Record why the replacement was authorized. This makes later delivery and cost reconciliation possible without presenting the second order as an unexplained duplicate.
Decision checklist
| Decision | What to check |
|---|---|
| Original | Confirmed stopped scope |
| Outstanding | Remaining approved quantity |
| Replacement | Separate identifier and charge |
Worked example
In a hypothetical campaign requiring 1,500 units, the original order settles at 1,100 delivered. A replacement for 400 addresses the remaining requirement. Ordering another 1,500 would increase the intended total to 2,600 if both deliveries are counted.
Example figures explain the decision; they are not current prices or promised results.
