Ask for the exact release
Request the client-confirmed track, release or artist URL that matches the intended action. Record who approved that destination. Searching from a song title alone can select another version or an unrelated artist with a similar name.
Clarify authority and wording
Ask the client to confirm that they are entitled to commission the proposed campaign. Do not invent a relationship with the artist or label in the service brief. Keep any public claims about the campaign limited to what the client can substantiate.
Define the purchase separately
State the action, quantity and price independently from the broader promotion plan. Avoid promising royalties, audience growth or playlist placement that the selected listing does not define. Retain the approval record with the eventual order reference.
Decision checklist
| Decision | What to check |
|---|---|
| Target | Client-approved recording or profile |
| Authority | Who can approve the campaign |
| Scope | Actual purchased action without added promises |
Worked example
An illustrative agency receives a song title from a client representing a label. Before ordering, it obtains the confirmed recording URL, campaign authorization and approved service scope rather than relying on the title alone.
Example figures explain the decision; they are not current prices or promised results.
