Preserve the submitted address
Save the exact target that was entered with the active request. A newly supplied link may refer to a different recording or release, even when its title looks familiar. Compare destinations before assuming the change is merely cosmetic.
Ask about modifications
Read the order’s current status and the applicable target-change terms. If the old destination no longer works as expected, provide both old and proposed addresses to support. Do not start an overlapping replacement request without resolving what happens to the first one.
Separate campaign observations
Keep measurements associated with their respective targets and dates. Combining the old release’s observations with a new target can conceal what each order actually concerned. Update future briefs once the correct destination is confirmed.
Decision checklist
| Decision | What to check |
|---|---|
| Original | Submitted target and status |
| Replacement | What the new address actually identifies |
| Record | Separate observations for each destination |
Worked example
Suppose an illustrative single is replaced by a corrected release during an order. The buyer should retain the original URL and ask whether the remaining request can be changed, rather than assuming the title carries the order across.
Example figures explain the decision; they are not current prices or promised results.
