Identify the recording precisely
A song title can appear on several releases and versions. Compare the artist, release name, duration and intended track address before choosing a target. A search result with the right title is not sufficient if the campaign concerns a particular recording.
Save the selected version
Keep the accepted track URL with the release details in the order brief. Ask whether the service accepts that target form rather than substituting an album or artist link. If the campaign asset changes, review the target again before submission.
Keep results version-specific
Record observations for the exact version ordered. Do not combine activity on a remaster and an original recording merely because the titles match. A campaign report should identify which recording was targeted and what evidence was actually observed.
Decision checklist
| Decision | What to check |
|---|---|
| Identity | Artist, release, version and duration |
| Target | Accepted URL for the selected recording |
| Reporting | Observations attached to that exact version |
Worked example
For an illustrative song available as an album version and a radio edit, a campaign promoting the radio edit should record that specific target. Ordering against the album version would be a different request despite the shared song title.
Example figures explain the decision; they are not current prices or promised results.
