Unpack the album label
An album contains multiple tracks, and an offer using the album name may still define a narrower deliverable. Ask which tracks are included and how the stated quantity is distributed. Do not assume the full quantity applies independently to each track.
Create an allocation sheet
List the included track URLs and any requested distribution. Note exclusions such as alternate versions or interludes if they matter to the brief. Keep the final allocation with the quoted package so the intended scope can be reviewed later.
Compare total work
Calculate the sum of the track-level quantities and compare it with the package description. If the allocation is unspecified, treat the total as ambiguous rather than guessing. A clearer package definition is necessary before comparing two album offers fairly.
Decision checklist
| Decision | What to check |
|---|---|
| Coverage | Tracks actually included in the offer |
| Distribution | Per-track amount or shared pool |
| Total | Sum of the explicitly defined allocations |
Worked example
An illustrative five-track package described as 1,000 plays could mean 200 per track or another distribution. It should not be read as 1,000 on every track unless the listing explicitly states that 5,000-unit total.
Example figures explain the decision; they are not current prices or promised results.
