Capture the initial list
Record the playlist target and the relevant track selection when the campaign begins. This is particularly important if the brief refers to exposure for certain tracks. A later view of the list may not represent what was present at submission.
Clarify the actual deliverable
A playlist-following request does not automatically promise listening to every included track. If another offer describes track-level work, ask how it treats edits to the list. Keep the playlist-level and track-level promises separate in the brief.
Log important edits
Note when campaign tracks are added or removed and avoid attributing all later changes to one unchanged package. If the edit affects the agreed scope, seek clarification. Preserve the previous version of the plan so the difference remains visible.
Decision checklist
| Decision | What to check |
|---|---|
| Baseline | Playlist and relevant initial track selection |
| Scope | Playlist action versus track-level work |
| Edits | Dates and effects of material changes |
Worked example
For an illustrative ten-track list, the promoted song is removed halfway through a campaign. A playlist-following order still concerns the playlist, while any claimed track-specific work requires a separate review of the changed selection.
Example figures explain the decision; they are not current prices or promised results.
