Identify the relevant copy
Open the original message and the forwarded instance where available, then note their locations and links. The same text or media can appear in several channels. A buyer should not assume that submitting one copy necessarily serves every location where the content appears.
Follow the listing's definition
Check which message format the service accepts and how it defines the delivered view action. If the relationship between original and forwarded counters matters, ask for an explanation rather than inferring it from a single visible number. Use only supported target inputs.
Keep reporting consistent
Record the exact message reference used for purchase and use that same reference in the report. Switching between copies can make a count change difficult to interpret. State any uncertainty about measurement instead of treating similar content as interchangeable delivery evidence.
Decision checklist
| Decision | What to check |
|---|---|
| Original | Source message reference |
| Forward | Specific destination copy |
| Evidence | Same reference as the order |
Worked example
Imagine an announcement is forwarded into two partner channels. An order brief naming only the announcement text does not identify a unique target. Specify the intended message link and confirm its eligibility before promising coverage for the partner placements.
Example figures explain the decision; they are not current prices or promised results.
