Specify the quote basis
Record the currency, per-unit basis and any separately stated fees used in the calculation. A number without a currency or quantity denominator is not a complete comparison between two service offers.
Recalculate at submission
Use the current rate for the selected quantity and compare the result with the panel's final charge. Investigate any mismatch before confirming instead of assuming the interface must be using the older saved estimate.
Distinguish funding from service cost
An account deposit, conversion charge and service order may appear as different transactions. Report them separately where the records allow, and avoid calling a funding fee part of the service's advertised unit rate.
Decision checklist
| Decision | What to check |
|---|---|
| Basis | Currency and quantity denominator |
| Confirmation | Current rate against final order charge |
| Ledger | Funding transactions separated from service purchases |
Worked example
Hypothetically, a rate of $2 per 1,000 yields a $3 base calculation for 1,500 units. If the final charge differs, the buyer checks quantity, rate and stated fees before submitting. These figures illustrate the arithmetic and are not current catalog prices.
Example figures explain the decision; they are not current prices or promised results.
