Confirm the sequence
Record the submission time, broadcast end time and visible order status. Keep the target URL and service ID with that timeline. The fact that a channel is offline now does not explain what happened during the earlier request window.
Check the relevant terms
Ask how the selected offer handles a session ending before processing begins. Do not assume that the request waits indefinitely for the next stream or automatically becomes a recorded-video order. Those are different arrangements that need explicit support.
Plan the next session separately
Once the first request’s treatment is clear, decide whether another session needs a new request. Verify its schedule and the current service conditions. Keep any credit or cancellation record associated with the original order rather than merging both sessions.
Decision checklist
| Decision | What to check |
|---|---|
| Sequence | Submission, session end and status times |
| Rule | Treatment when the target is offline |
| Next session | Separate decision after resolution |
Worked example
An illustrative stream ends at 21:00 while the request remains unstarted. The buyer asks whether the order is cancelled, pending or eligible for a supported change instead of assuming it will attach to tomorrow’s broadcast.
Example figures explain the decision; they are not current prices or promised results.
