Save the submitted identifier
Keep the exact value sent with the order, not only the current display name. If the target changes later, record both versions and when the change occurred. A screenshot can supplement the link but should not replace the original order field.
Check whether editing is supported
Do not assume an active order can be redirected to a new target. Ask which changes the selected service permits and whether a new purchase is required. An account rename may also behave differently from deleting and recreating content.
Separate correction from replacement
If support confirms a correction, retain the response with the original order. If a new order is needed, confirm the first one's outcome before replacing it. Avoid treating a new content item as automatically equivalent to the one originally approved.
Decision checklist
| Decision | What to check |
|---|---|
| Original | Submitted link or identifier |
| Change | What changed and when |
| Action | Supported correction or new order |
Worked example
A hypothetical client deletes a post and uploads the same video again. The new post has a different identifier despite identical visuals. An order aimed at the deleted post should not be assumed to follow the replacement automatically.
Example figures explain the decision; they are not current prices or promised results.
