SoundCloud Orders: Distinguish Originals, Remixes and Reuploads

Match a SoundCloud service request to the intended recording when several uploads share a song title or recognizable artwork.

By BuyTheFans · Updated October 20, 2026

Inspect the upload identity

Check the uploader, title, version description and exact track URL. A remix or reupload may be visually similar to the original but remain a different target. Do not select a track based solely on the first matching search result.

Confirm the campaign version

If the brief comes from an artist or client, obtain approval for the specific upload. Keep the approved address with the intended action and quantity. A general request to promote the song does not identify which version should receive the work.

Keep observations separate

Record any changes on the selected upload only. Do not combine plays or likes across versions when evaluating a single-target order. If the target is replaced, resolve the original request before treating the replacement as its continuation.

Worked example

For an illustrative release with an original mix and a festival remix, the buyer confirms the remix URL before ordering. Shared artwork and a similar title do not make the original mix an equivalent target.

Example figures explain the decision; they are not current prices or promised results.
