List the overlapping activity
Record advertising dates, creator partnerships and service-order windows for the video. This timeline explains why a counter may change for reasons beyond the single order being reviewed.
Preserve original metric definitions
Keep the advertising report, panel order record and account insights in their own fields. Similar words across systems may describe different events, and adding the numbers can produce double counting or an unsupported total.
Use cautious conclusions
State the purchased scope and independently observed outcomes without attributing all movement to the service. If incremental impact matters, plan an appropriate evaluation rather than assigning causal credit from a simple before-and-after comparison.
Decision checklist
| Decision | What to check |
|---|---|
| Timeline | All concurrent promotional activities |
| Metrics | Definitions retained for each source |
| Attribution | Observed movement versus proven incremental impact |
Worked example
Hypothetically, a video gains 5,000 views while paid promotion and a 1,000-unit service order both run. The report records both activities. It does not assert that the remaining 4,000 were organic or that the service caused the entire change.
Example figures explain the decision; they are not current prices or promised results.
