Treat the upload as a new target
A replacement video can have the same title and visual content while remaining a different order target. Do not assume the original request follows the replacement. Preserve the old address and identify the new one separately in all communications.
Resolve the existing request
Check the status and ask whether a target change is permitted. A service may have already begun work on the original target. Obtain the applicable cancellation, partial-completion or modification terms before deciding how much additional work to request.
Rebuild the comparison
Record any measured result on the old upload separately from the new upload’s starting state. Otherwise the campaign report can mix two different counters. Update saved briefs and batch templates so future requests no longer reuse the obsolete URL.
Decision checklist
| Decision | What to check |
|---|---|
| Old target | Original URL and current order status |
| New target | Replacement URL and starting observation |
| Permission | Whether changes or cancellation are supported |
Worked example
If an illustrative 1,000-view request starts before a corrected upload replaces the video, keep the delivered work associated with the original URL. Ask about the remaining scope rather than treating both videos as one counter.
Example figures explain the decision; they are not current prices or promised results.
