Preserve both records
Save the original video URL and the replacement URL before deleting or hiding anything. Note which target was submitted with the paid request. Identical footage or captions do not establish that the replacement shares the original target's order history or measurements.
Ask about the active request
Review the order status and ask whether the selected service supports a target change. A replacement upload does not automatically create a right to transfer unused quantity. The relevant rules are the conditions attached to that purchase, not assumptions about visual similarity.
Update campaign reporting
Keep metrics for the original and replacement videos in separate rows. If you later combine them for campaign reporting, label the calculation clearly. Otherwise a reset counter can look like a delivery loss even though the report has switched to a different item.
Decision checklist
| Decision | What to check |
|---|---|
| Original | Paid order's submitted URL |
| Replacement | New upload's URL |
| Report | Separate item histories |
Worked example
A hypothetical video receives activity before its owner uploads an edited version. The new version starts a separate observation record. Send both addresses to support if assistance is needed; do not calculate a shortfall by comparing the old starting count with the new upload.
Example figures explain the decision; they are not current prices or promised results.
