Record the starting point
Save the initial visible count and timestamp before submitting. Preserve the service description as well, including how completion and any replacement coverage are defined for that particular listing.
Distinguish additions from net movement
A final count combines activity from multiple sources. Do not automatically conclude that every missing unit is a service shortfall or that every extra follower came from the order, especially during other campaigns.
Escalate with comparable evidence
Use the original order reference, baseline and later observation when raising a discrepancy. Ask how the service assesses completion and eligibility instead of substituting a homemade calculation for the actual terms.
Decision checklist
| Decision | What to check |
|---|---|
| Baseline | Count and timestamp before submission |
| Movement | Concurrent follows and unfollows |
| Coverage | Listing-specific completion and refill rules |
Worked example
In a hypothetical case, the account starts at 4,000 and ends at 4,450 after a 500-unit order. That 450 net increase alone cannot establish whether 50 units were undelivered, offset by unrelated losses or measured across inconsistent times. The buyer requests reconciliation.
Example figures explain the decision; they are not current prices or promised results.
