Preserve the submitted identity
Save the username, full profile URL and order reference exactly as submitted. If a rename is planned, tell the person managing orders before the change rather than relying on memory afterward.
Ask about target handling
Check the selected listing or contact support to establish how a changed account identifier is handled. Avoid editing stored records to hide the original value; retain both original and current identifiers with dates.
Prevent a duplicate purchase
A renamed profile does not prove that the first order failed. Confirm its status and supported resolution before placing another followers order, particularly when both could later act on the same account.
Decision checklist
| Decision | What to check |
|---|---|
| Old identity | Submitted username and URL retained |
| New identity | Rename date and current profile |
| Next order | Existing request resolved first |
Worked example
In a hypothetical rebrand, an account changes from its old trading name to a new one while an order is pending. The buyer sends both identifiers to support with one order ID and waits for instructions instead of submitting the same quantity twice.
Example figures explain the decision; they are not current prices or promised results.
