Define the desired result
Write down whether the request seeks a new campaign quantity or correction under previous terms. Extra quantity beyond the original specification should not be presented as an automatic refill entitlement.
Resolve the earlier record
Check the original status and any open support request before creating overlapping activity. Multiple unresolved requests can make the target's movement difficult to interpret and can complicate communication about which order is being discussed.
Approve a separate budget
If the new request is an additional purchase, record its own quantity, price and purpose. If it is a possible covered issue, wait for the support process instead of treating another paid order as an assumed substitute.
Decision checklist
| Decision | What to check |
|---|---|
| Purpose | New quantity or previous coverage issue |
| Old order | Status and support case resolved |
| Payment | Explicit approval for additional spend |
Worked example
A hypothetical buyer originally requested 500 units and now wants another 300 for a later campaign. That is a new specification. If the concern is instead a decline after the first order, the buyer checks the original coverage before authorizing new spending.
Example figures explain the decision; they are not current prices or promised results.
