Start with the purchased definition
Copy the exact unit from the service description into the report. If the listing names views or plays, do not relabel the quantity as unique people reached without explicit evidence supporting that equivalence.
Use parallel report columns
Place ordered quantity, service status, observed plays and account-reported reach in different fields. Include the reporting period beside each figure because a lifetime counter and a daily insight represent different windows.
Keep outcomes independent
Add leads or sales only from their own measurement system. A view order does not establish that the viewer visited a website, made a purchase or belonged to the intended customer audience.
Decision checklist
| Decision | What to check |
|---|---|
| Order unit | Exact listing terminology |
| Reach | Unique-audience definition and period |
| Business result | Separate conversion evidence |
Worked example
Hypothetically, a report includes 2,000 ordered plays, 2,350 observed play growth and 1,100 account-reported reach for a defined period. These remain separate figures; the buyer does not convert 2,000 plays into a claim of 2,000 different prospective customers.
Example figures explain the decision; they are not current prices or promised results.
